Today’s Epistle: 2 Corinthians 8:6, 19 (KJV)
“Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also. And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind.’
The church of God has suffered a lot of defeatism especially on the part of Christians because of a misrepresentation of the message of grace unto the Christians. More often than not, a lot of Christians see themselves short of something which they think can only be given them by a man of God. As such, they tend to glorify the man of God instead of glorifying God in the things they have already received freely of the Father. Of a truth, ministers of God have been given to the body of Christ to perfect it so that we should all come to the full understanding of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-14 “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive” This is to cause the Christian to partake in the same grace. Some will not want to reveal this truth for fear that their positions maybe threatened. Of course this cannot be because each and every one of us is specially created and unique. We have to come to the revelation of Christ, that is, same grace, because Christ is coming for Christ (1Corinthians 15:23). So He is coming for a man just like Him
In belonging to any local assembly, you become a partaker of the grace therein. As a result, your gift is just that of the grace you are partaking in. You must see yourself as a partaker of the same grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is affirmed in our opening epistle where Paul, sending Titus to the Corinthian Christians, stresses that he should finish in the same grace. In so doing, the Corinthians would realize that whether or not Paul was physically present, the grace was still the same. Jesus also made this point clear when he declared in John 14:12 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” This was to reveal a transference of the same grace. Mark 16:17-18 denotes “And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” Every believer is to manifest as in the above scripture. This verse again identifies the believer with the same grace. We have been called to be partakers of the same grace which is in our Lord Jesus Christ. This grace revealed clearly by the Apostle Paul through which we shall all come to the mature man in Christ and to the measure of the full statue of Christ. Walk with the consciousness of a partaker of the same grace so you may exercise dominion in life fully. Abba Father!
Confession of Faith / Prayer for the Day
You have called me and ordained me from the foundation of world, that I may partaker of the grace of Christ. I grow in the grace that is in Christ Jesus unto perfection, dominating everywhere I go, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
Thought for the Day
You must see yourself as a partaker of the same grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you may exercise dominion in life fully.
We pray that you become fruitful by the teaching of God’s word and as you yield to the Holy Spirit. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you meditate on the revelation of Jesus Christ and as you continue in His Grace. Abba father.
